“Why don’t you offer plans other than your flat rate managed service program?”
I get asked this question all the time, and it’s valid. A lot of other IT companies offer everything from a break/fix model to prepaid block-time. We don’t do IT that way and here’s why…the benefits go beyond just saving you money, we actually want to see you succeed. So, to all that have asked, and those who are now wondering, here are the reasons we only offer managed IT services.
Reasons We Believe Managed Service is Your Best Option for IT Support
While technology continues to become more complex, organizations depend on technology more than they ever did in the past. Not to mention data security is becoming an industry unto itself. It only makes sense that the way to take care of your technology needs would evolve as well. And, frankly, when you focus on one way of doing something you can get really good at it.
All of our tools, processes and procedures are built around providing the most efficient IT support possible. That means our clients have far fewer problems and the problems they do have are resolved much more quickly than if we offered alternatives. There just isn’t a way to mix break/fix, time and material, or block-time plans with flat rate managed service and be very good at any of them. The processes are too different. ToSolution was built on providing flat rate managed service from the ground up. We believed it was a better way to service the business community and we’ve been proven right.
With break/fix or block-time plans the relationship with every client is different. Some want no maintenance unless they call the IT provider. Some reluctantly agree to a few hours per month. There isn’t any standardization from one client to the next on how a network is built/designed. Corners are cut because, while the IT provider may think the client needs 10 hours of work to find a root cause, the IT provider is always on pins and needles as to how the client will react to the invoice. All of these variables creates inefficiencies. The exact opposite of what the goal should be.
And with break/fix or block time the relationship with the client always has an undercurrent of contention. Why is it taking so long to fix? You were here last week for the same problem you aren’t going to send me another invoice are you? This was a simple issue can’t you lower your hourly rate?
With our flat rate managed service plan (called ProVision) our clients don’t worry about any of these things. One monthly fee covers everything. We take responsibility for anything that needs attention. That means we can manage the network the way it should be managed without worrying about a discussion on an invoice. The end result is fewer problems and much faster response times than what our clients were used to with other providers on different plans.
Fewer problems means clients are maximizing their payroll dollars. Fewer problems means our client’s employees have better morale because their main tool for performing their job isn’t frustrating them. Fewer problems means our clients are doing the job they were hired to do, not trying to fix IT issues.
With technology becoming more important all the time, doesn’t it make sense to have a provider that offers an all inclusive plan for the management of that technology?
